AI Chat Exporter
Export, archive and share every AI chat you have.
The story
Overview
AI Chat Exporter is a browser extension designed to help users capture, organize, and share conversations from multiple AI assistants in a single tool. It supports six major platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, and Perplexity) with one unified subscription, eliminating the cost and complexity of managing separate exporters for each service. The extension offers nine export formats, with most processing happening locally on your machine for privacy. Users can selectively export individual messages or entire conversation threads, bulk export their complete history, search through archived conversations, redact sensitive information, and share read-only links with optional password protection and expiration dates. Every export includes a SHA-256 fingerprint and timestamp for verification. The tool is built to handle the technical content common in AI conversations, including code blocks, thinking processes, artifacts, and citations, while maintaining document formatting suitable for note-taking apps like Obsidian and Notion.

FAQ
Do I need an account to use AI Chat Exporter?
No account is needed to export. Most formats stay entirely in your browser, and PDF rendering on the server requires only a signed ticket, not account identification.
Which export formats stay in my browser?
Nine of ten formats never leave your machine: Markdown, TXT, JSON, CSV, HTML, JSONL, DOCX, PNG, and ZIP. Only PDF is server-rendered.
What happens when I export a PDF?
The sanitized HTML is held in memory during rendering, streamed back to you, and never written to disk or a database. The render service cannot identify you.
Why is PDF export a paid feature?
PDF rendering requires server resources, while other formats are generated entirely by the extension on your machine at no cost.
Does one plan really cover every platform?
Yes. One subscription covers all six supported platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, and Perplexity) with the same export settings and output pipeline.
